India Untouched: Stories of a People Apart (2007; 110 min) This documentary is the most comprehensive look at the "untouchables" in India to date. While the media projects a positive image of a democratic India, filmmaker Stalin K spent four years traveling the country to expose the continued oppression of dalits in a wide variety of communities, including among Sikhs, Christians and Muslims. A discussion moderated by Prem Gera to follow the film.
