Speaker: Sean Drake, assistant professor of sociology
Presentation on the recent history of school segregation and desegregation efforts in the U.S., followed by a discussion about some of the implications for the current attack on DEI (e.g., the recent SCOTUS ruling on affirmative action) that we're seeing in higher education.

1 - 1:30 p.m.: Handing out raffle tickets for a chance to win a copy of Professor Drake's recent publication "Academic Apartheid: Race and the Criminalization of Failure in an American Suburb."
