2024 Syracuse University Commencement

Syracuse University Commencement is an all-university ceremony where Syracuse University Chancellor and President Kent Syverud ceremoniously confers degrees. Dario Nardella, mayor of Florence, Italy, will deliver the keynote address.

All graduating students must register to indicate their intent to participate in the 2024 Commencement ceremony and confirm an estimated number of guests.

Registration information will be used to estimate total attendance for planning purposes. The ceremony takes place in the JMA Wireless Dome. There this no limit to the number of guests you can bring. You will not need to re-register or update your guest count if plans change.

We’re Turning 100!


To mark our centennial in the fall of 2024, the Maxwell School will hold special events and engagement opportunities to celebrate the many ways—across disciplines and borders—our community ever strives to, as the Oath says, “transmit this city not only not less, but greater, better and more beautiful than it was transmitted to us.”

Throughout the year leading up to the centennial, engagement opportunities will be held for our diverse, highly accomplished community that now boasts more than 38,500 alumni across the globe.
