Eggers Hall, 220 - Strasser Legacy Room
Add to: Outlook, ICal, Google Calendar
This talk considers the U.S. and Russian retreat from superpower roles as hegemons in the Middle East in the period since 2018, and the ways in which regional powers are using air forces, missiles and drones to assert their dominance. Two of these contenders are nuclear-armed, raising the prospect of a Middle East standoff similar to the ones in Eastern Europe and South Asia.
