The Moynihan Institute is excited to build on the Maxwell School's growing partnerships with Korean universities by launching a new Korea Working Group. This initiative is designed to foster collaboration, interdisciplinary scholarship and joint projects, and position us for upcoming funded research opportunities in the new year.

To kick things off, we’re hosting a meeting organized by the Moynihan Institute’s East Asia Program on Monday, Dec. 1. This gathering will bring together faculty, researchers and practitioners whose work touches on the Korean Peninsula. Our first agenda item will be exploring opportunities through the Korea Foundation and other philanthropies, including funding for policy-related training and academic exchange.

If you’re interested in Korea-focused research, teaching or partnership development, we’d love to have you join the conversation and help shape this new initiative.

Snacks will be provided!

This event is facilitated by Kristen Patel, professor of practice of policy studies, Syracuse University.

Kristen (Kris) Patel ’90 B.A. (Econ/PSt), a distinguished alumna of the Maxwell School with more than 25 years of experience leading intelligence and analytics programs in the public and private sectors, is the Donald P. and Margaret Curry Gregg Professor of Practice in Korean and East Asian Affairs.
