Led by Gretchen Purser, associate professor of sociology and co-director of the advocacy and activism research area in the Program for the Advancement of Research on Coflict and Collaboration.
This interactive workshop will introduce you to the principles and practices of community organizing as a basic and fundamental skill of democratic engagement. The workshop will equip you with the tools you need to build power and develop effective campaigns. Among other things, participants will be introduced to power mapping, the power of personal narrative and forms of strategic collective action.
