As part of Asian American Native Hawaiian Pacific Islander (AANHPI) Heritage Month, Professor of History Junko Takeda will share excerpts from her memoir-in-progress, Moguri: An Undocumented Korean Japanese Family, drawing on her experiences growing up as an undocumented Asian immigrant child.
The conversation will be moderated by Vicente Cuevas of the Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion and Population Health, and will touch on racial solidarity, migration stress and resilience, immigrant rights, and intersectional identities.
A light lunch will be served.
