Jasmina Tacheva’s research focuses on the history, ethics, and politics of data science and algorithmic decision-making, especially as they pertain to historically marginalized communities. Tacheva’s research project, “From Data Ethics to Data Justice: The Case for Social Justice Informatics,” seeks to illuminate the limits of data ethics as a principled basis for morality in the data sciences.
