Anthropology Undergraduate Interns on Capitol Hill

February 18, 2026

Kennedy King, a junior majoring in Anthropology, Art History, and Political Science, began interning under Congresswoman Judy Chu (CA-28) in January. Interns on Capitol Hill usually help the Congresswoman by answering phone calls, researching litigation, preparing press clips, and helping to draft letters to constituents. They also have the opportunity to attend briefings, Congressional hearings, and other educational and legislative events to learn about Congress and the legislative process.

King's background in anthropology has refined her writing, attention to detail, and ability to approach problems with both creativity and disciplined reasoning. King, whose hometown is in the 28th district of California, is excited to be serving the community that she grew up in during her time on the Hill.
