Nancy E. Bell ’94 JD/IR/’96 PhD (PSc) has been named director of regulatory affairs and associate general counsel for the vehicle manufacturer Rivian.

Rivian is an American automaker and technology company that produces emissions-free electric adventure vehicles. It currently has more than 2,000 employees, in seven U.S. and Canadian locations. Bell is based in Washington, D.C.

Before joining Rivian, Bell had a series of senior appointments in legal counsel and external relations, many related to the automotive industry. She has been policy counsel on matters of automated driving and internet/data technology for Intel; senior manager of external affairs for FCA (Fiat Chrysler Automobiles) US LLC; and senior attorney for the Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers. She served also as associate general counsel for AARP, among other jobs.
