Hamid Ekbia, PhD, Appointed Director of Autonomous Systems Policy Institute

Hamid Ekbia, professor of informatics, cognitive science, data science and international studies at Indiana University in Bloomington, has been appointed as University Professor at Syracuse University and will serve as the next director of its Autonomous Systems Policy Institute (ASPI).

Wilcoxen Appointed to Treasury’s Climate-Related Financial Risk Advisory Committee

Peter Wilcoxen, Ajello Professor in Energy and Environmental Policy, is one of twenty members and one government observer who have been named as part of the establishment of the committee. The new committee will provide information and analysis to the Financial Stability Oversight Council.

Alexandra Punch has taken the helm as director of the renamed Lerner Center for Public Health Promotion and Population Health. Her appointment in July coincided with the addition of “population health” to the center’s title.
