Bio

Dana Olesch is a doctoral candidate who specializes in the historical archaeology of urban spaces. Her research focuses on structural and cultural violence in urban spaces during the late 19th and early 20th century in the United States. Dana earned her B.A. with high honors in anthropology and history from Beloit College in 2016. Before pursuing her doctoral degree, Dana was the McDermott Intern for Ancient American Art at the Dallas Museum of Art and has excavation experience in the United States and Peru.
