Public Management and Policy Certificate of Advanced Study

Complement your graduate studies at Syracuse University with a CAS from the #1 graduate program in the country for public affairs.

This certificate is designed for graduate students who are interested in the field of public administration but who are not able to add a full M.P.A. to their program and do not meet the qualifications for the midcareer Public Leadership and Management CAS.

  • On campus in Syracuse, N.Y.
  • 12 graduate-level credits (four courses)
  • Available concurrently with most graduate professional and doctoral programs at Syracuse University except those in which a dual degree is already in place. E.M.P.A. and E.M.I.R. students should complete the Public Leadership and Management CAS instead.

Enrollment in a master’s or doctoral program at Syracuse University is required.

Two foundation courses must be selected from the following:

 

Student should work with their advisor to choose their remaining 6 credits (two courses) from a selection of public management or public policy focused courses offered by the Public Administration and International Affairs Department.
