In Memoriam: Life Trustee Allan D. Sutton ’55 BA (PSc)

Through his generosity to Syracuse University, he had a profound impact on the reputation of the Department of Philosophy and advanced the careers of some of the nation’s brightest philosophy scholars. Sutton passed away on May 31, 2023, in his home in Rancho Santa Fe, California, at the age of 90.

Audie Klotz Receives 2023 Wasserstrom Prize for Graduate Teaching

Audie Klotz, professor of political science, is the 2023 recipient of the William Wasserstrom Prize for Teaching of Graduate Students. The prize is awarded to a faculty member who exemplifies the qualities of William Wasserstrom, a noted professor of English at Syracuse, who died in 1985.

Maxwell Students and Alumni Will Teach Around the World Through Fulbright US Student Program

Maxwell students Nish Chowdhury and Camran Shealy, and alumna Sarah Dolbier '22 are among those named 2023 recipients of awards through the Fulbright U.S. Student Program. The program funds a range of awards that include English teaching assistantships (ETA) and study/research grants in over 140 countries.
