Bio
Anna Hill serves as the associate director of the Maxwell X Lab. She received a Ph.D. in policy analysis and management from Cornell University in 2014. Prior to joining the X Lab, Anna worked as a researcher at Mathematica for eleven years.
Anna’s work has focused primarily on health and disability policy. She has worked on projects funded by multiple government agencies including the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, the Social Security Administration, the Administration for Community Living, the Department of Defense and the Department of Labor.
Anna is a quantitative researcher specializing in causal program evaluation and her projects at Mathematica included healthcare quality measure development and testing; evaluations of Medicare and Social Security Administration demonstrations; oversight of evaluations of Medicaid Section 1115 demonstrations for beneficiaries with complex needs; a study on the impact of an excise tax on sugar-sweetened beverages; and evaluations of multiple programs intended to improve outcomes for individuals receiving services from the Vocational Rehabilitation program.
