Bio

Chris Mihm is adjunct professor of public administration and international affairs, teaching public administration and democracy, among other topics. He is the former managing director for strategic issues at the U.S. Government Accountability Office, a position he held for more than 17 years. Mihm is the deputy chair on the Governance, Audit and Compliance Committee at the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), former chair of the Independent Audit Advisory Committee for the United Nations, and of the Independent Expert Oversight Advisory Committee for the World Health Organization. 

He is a fellow and former chair of the board of directors at the National Academy of Public Administration.

Mihm has taught at the University of Maryland School of Public Policy and frequently serves as guest lecturer on topics related to globalized governance, public sector management reform, risk management and performance assessment, public-private partnerships, and performance budgeting, among others, for the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affair’s executive education training programs.

He is a fellow of the IBM Center for the Business of Government and chairs the center's advisory committee.
