Bio
Lacey is a master’s student specializing in American politics. She earned a B.A. in political science and women’s and gender studies from Syracuse University in 2025. Her research interests include the legislative process at both the federal and state levels, identity politics (race, religion and gender), political psychology and the role of lobbying in shaping legislation.
Lacey is especially interested in how lobbying influences the development of public policy, particularly in high contentious or polarized issue areas. Her work seeks to understand the interplay between institutional power, identity and interest group influence in contemporary American governance.
