Maxwell School Convocation and Syracuse University Commencement
Syracuse University’s Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs will celebrate Convocation and Commencement for graduating students the weekend of May 8-10, 2026.
Convocation Ceremonies
Degree candidates are individually recognized at the convocation ceremonies. A live stream option will be available during both the undergraduate and graduate ceremonies. More details will be coming soon.
Undergraduate Students
The Maxwell School will celebrate the Class of 2026 undergraduate students at the Convocation ceremony on Saturday, May 9, from 8:30–10:30 a.m. in the JMA Wireless Dome.
There will be a reception held for the graduates and their guests immediately following Convocation at 10:30 a.m. outside in the Lincoln Courtyard where light refreshments will be served.

This year's undergraduate convocation speaker is Jacqueline Saturn ’90 B.A. (PSc), Maxwell Advisory Board member and president, North America and EVP of Global Artist Relations, Virgin Music Group.
Graduate Students
The Maxwell School will celebrate the Class of 2026 graduate students at the Convocation ceremony on Friday, May 8, from 9–10:30 a.m. in Hendricks Chapel.
There will be a reception held for the graduates and their guests immediately following Convocation at 10:30 a.m. outside in the Lincoln Courtyard behind Maxwell and Eggers Halls where light refreshments will be served.

Commencement Ceremony
The Syracuse University 2026 Commencement ceremony for all Syracuse University graduation candidates will take place at the JMA Wireless Dome on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 9:30 a.m.

Sign language interpreters and computer aided real-time translation (CART) will be provided at all Saturday Convocation ceremonies as well as Commencement.
For Commencement only, complete and submit the online form to indicate any disability-related accommodations needed for graduation candidates and their guests. The deadline to submit the online form is May 1, 2026.
