Created in 1964 as one of America’s first midcareer programs in public
administration, Executive Education at Maxwell offers graduate education degrees,
certificates of advanced study, and customized training --- all tailored to
meet the needs and goals of today’s public minded professionals. A hallmark of
Executive Education is its collaborative atmosphere, which encourages
cross-cultural learning among students and faculty.
Nearly half of the
participants come from outside the United States, representing 18 – 20
different countries annually. In the past seven decades, more than 10,000
people from all over the world have completed our graduate degrees and
professional training at Maxwell, readied to make positive change globally and
locally, in communities large and small.
Thinking about a Maxwell Executive Education degree? Discover the flexible full- and part-time programs of study in public administration and international relations for midcareer professionals.
We offer an Executive Masters in Public Administration on campus as well as an online version of the same program. You can earn an Executive Masters in International Relations on campus or in Washington DC.
Maxwell offers numerous options for mid-career professionals to earn a certificate of advanced study as an alternative to or in tandem with our degree programs.
Most certificates of advance study require 12 – 15 credits of course work on a full-time basis over one semester or on a part-time basis dependent on the student’s schedule. Consider developing deeper expertise in a specialized area relevant to your career in one or more of the 15 CAS currently offered!
Each year, Maxwell delivers more than 20 different Executive Training programs for 500 international and US participants. The topics of study are as diverse as our 160 faculty within Maxwell and the broader set of faculty across Syracuse University.
We have a long tradition of tailoring our training to the specific needs of US and foreign government agencies, non-profit institutions, and universities interested in collaborative partnerships that further the study and practice of public administration, public affairs, and international relations.
