In the space of just twenty four hours, Russia carried out one of the biggest ballistic missile attacks on Kyiv of the war while Ukraine sent more than 400 long-range drones the other way in a single night. All while the amount of territory changing hands on the frontlines continues to drop, which Ukraine's drones are playing a decisive part in.

Vice Adm. Robert Murrett (Ret.), professor of practice of public administration and international affairs, says he isn't terribly surprised by the long-range drone capabilities that Ukraine has been able to develop based on “the technology that Ukraine has brought to the battle so far and their ability to pivot very quickly and to do both short-range, medium-range and now long-range strikes over the vastness of the Russian land mass.”

“We need to recognize Ukraine has the most battle-hardened and combat-ready military in the world. Air, land, ground and naval. ...Their technical expertise, their innovation, their ability to flex in so many ways relative to any kind of military operations and especially with drone warfare,” says Murrett.
