Institute for Qualitative and Multi-Method Research: Authors Workshop
A key goal of IQMR is to foster the continued development of techniques for gathering and analyzing qualitative data, and for combining qualitative and statistical methods.
Accordingly, each year during the “middle weekend” (between the Institute’s first and second week), scholars working on a methodological paper, book chapter, or book manuscript that focuses squarely on the development or critique of qualitative research methods, or techniques for combining qualitative and quantitative research, present their work at an authors workshop.
In 2025 the authors workshop will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 21 and 22.
Sunday, June 22, will feature the Emerging Methodologists Workshop, which showcases the work of six junior scholars, selected through a competitive process, and aims to expand the cohort of junior methodologists working in the qualitative and multi-method research tradition.
Presenters’ travel to Syracuse and hotel for two nights are covered by the Institute.
Work presented at previous authors workshops has been published in a range of journals, and as part of the Cambridge University Press “Methods for Social Inquiry” and “Strategies for Social Inquiry” book series.
