Avital (Tali) Datskovsky is a doctoral candidate in cultural anthropology. Her dissertation examines conservation and human-animal relationships in Rajasthan, India, focusing on how forest protection policies and tourism affect local communities near Ranthambhore National Park.
Her academic interests include feminist theory, multispecies ethnography, political economy, and environmental anthropology. She holds a B.A. (2013) in South Asian languages and civilizations from the University of Chicago and an M.Sc. (2018) in development studies (contemporary India) from SOAS, University of London.
