Bio
Sarah Elizabeth is a Ph.D. candidate (ABD) in the department, studying American politics and public policy. Her dissertation focuses on identity, political attitudes and social media, particularly short video platforms.
Using novel items on nationally representative surveys, Sarah Elizabeth’s work examines how these platforms may impact identity formation, maintenance and, ultimately, political activation. Her dissertation has been awarded funding through the American Political Science Association's Doctoral Dissertation Research Improvement Grants program.
Prior to the Ph.D. program, Sarah Elizabeth earned a B.A. in sociology and international studies from Saint Louis University in 2021. She earned an M.A. in political science from Syracuse University in 2023. Her website can be found here: https://sarahelizabethsyr.weebly.com
