Four Maxwell School students have been selected to participate in the highly competitive Public Policy and International Affairs (PPIA) junior summer institutes. PPIA fellows are rising seniors who are committed to pursuing a master’s degree in public policy or international affairs and a professional career in public service. 

Associate Professor Michael Ebner, an expert on the history of Italy and fascism, was featured in the HISTORY article "How Mussolini Seized Power in Italy—And Turned It Into a Fascist State."

Professor Mary Lovely was quoted in the Christian Science Monitor article "Retreat, not defeat: What Ukraine war means for globalization."

“Material Hardship and the Living Arrangements of Older Adults,” written by Colleen Heflin and Hannah Patnaik, was published in the Journal of Family and Economic Issues.

Professor Grant Reeher spoke to The Hill about White House press secretary Jen Psaki's move to MSNBC.

Professor Brian Taylor was quoted in the Voice of America article, "Vladimir Zhirinovsky, Russian Firebrand Politician Whose Career Spanned Yeltsin, Putin Eras, Dies At 75."

Monmonier, Distinguished Professor Emeritus of Geography and the Environment, follows John Byron Plato's path from farmer in his mid-30s to inventor of several inventions including the “Clock System,” which assigned addresses to rural residences without house numbers.

Students in the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs can now apply directly to the school and begin taking Maxwell courses from day one. 

Lamis Abdelaaty, assistant professor of political science, was quoted in the New York Times article "The Powerful Force Guiding Poland’s Welcome to Ukrainians: Fear of Putin," and the NPR article "Inside Poland's homes where Ukrainian refugees find peace away from Russia's invasion."
