An excerpt from Professor Matthew Huber's his newly published book, "Climate Change as Class War: Building Socialism on a Warming Planet" (Verso, 2022), was published in Jacobin.
"If we want to build a democratic majoritarian climate coalition, we need a politics that appeals beyond the credentialed classes," writes Huber. "In other words, we need a working-class climate politics centered not on knowledge and smart policy, but rather more everyday materials struggle over access to energy, food, housing, and transportation—the very sectors we need to decarbonize."
Huber's book was also featured in the Jacobin article, "A Successful Climate Movement Must Be a Working-Class Movement."
