The 37th annual Herbert Lourie Memorial Lecture on Health Policy on Oct. 16, 2025, featured Dr. hassan Tetteh for a talk titled “AI Will Change Everything Except What Matters Most.”

Tetteh joined Shannon Monnat, sociology professor and Lerner Chair in Public Health Promotion and Population Health, for a conversation about challenges presented by the emerging technology. Tetteh authored “Smarter Healthcare With AI: Harnessing Military Medicine to Revolutionize Healthcare for Everyone, Everywhere” (Forbes, 2024) and is a retired U.S. Navy captain, associate professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences and teaches at Howard University College of Medicine.
