Bio

 

Sobia is a graduate of Quaid-i-Azam University Islamabad and King’s College London. Originally from Pakistan, she was born and bred in Quetta, Baluchistan.  Before Coming to Syracuse she was a Resident Consultant with the Islamabad Policy Research Institute (IPRI) in Islamabad. 

Before joining IPRI, she was a visiting Carnegie fellow at New America Foundation, Washington DC. She has also been a Visiting Fellow at the Center for International Trade and Security, University of Georgia and Sandia National Labs, New Mexico.

She is primarily interested in the strategic technologies’ role in South Asian politics with an emphasis on military doctrines and postures of India and Pakistan.
