Qiyu Deng is a Ph.D. student in sociology at the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs at Syracuse University. She holds a master of public administration from Cornell University and a bachelor’s in management from Nanjing Audit University.

Her research focuses on global population aging and social determinants of health. She is particularly interested in how social and built environments influence health and well-being across the lifespan.
