Economics presents: Remembering Peter Howe; A Memorial Celebration

Orange Grove in the SU Quad & 110 Eggers Hall

Add to: Outlook, ICal, Google Calendar

As many of you may know, Professor Peter Howe passed away December 23, 2016 unexpectedly. In honoring his memory, a paver has been installed in the Orange Grove on the SU Quad, where we will meet on Friday October 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. to celebrate his time at Syracuse University as a student and as a faculty member. A reception will follow with light refreshments in 110 Eggers Hall.

Peter was a valued faculty member of the Economics Department since 2014. He was a dedicated alum and received his Ph.D. in Economics from SU in 2003, after serving in the Army following high school and then working at Miller Brewing until its closing in 1994. Peter was a passionate teacher, and loved both his traditional students as well as his non- traditional students who came back to school, as he had, later in life.

Peter was an adored husband, father, grandfather, colleague, and friend.
