Thorson discusses how partisanship affects belief of facts with PBS

Emily Thorson, assistant professor of political science, was interviewed for the PBS NewsHour article "You may not believe the Mueller report no matter what it says." According to Thorson, negative misinformation about a politician of an opposing party is hard to shake, even after people learn that the original story was false. She describes these lingering doubts as "belief echoes" — because the misinformation keeps coming to push back against the truth. 04/01/19
