The annual award honors a pioneering communications theorist.

The addition brings hundreds of students and more than a dozen faculty experts to 'enhance our vital voice in the study of health,' says Dean David M. Van Slyke.

The Public Health Department recently honored several undergraduate and graduate students with department awards. “We seek to be a leader in leveraging public health research and education to create the greatest impact on global health,” says Department Chair and Professor David Larsen. 

Professors Dennis Deninger, Bernard Appiah and Joey Merrin were honored with Falk College Faculty of the Year awards for their outstanding teaching, scholarship and internal and professional service contributions in 2024.

Renée Verdi's ultimate goal is to advocate for reform in the healthcare industry. To get her started on that career path, she was a dual major in public health and policy studies and recently joined the health team for a strategic communications firm.
