Political Science / Ph.D. Student
Ivy received her undergraduate degree in
government with minors in peace studies and Arabic from St. Lawrence
University. During her undergraduate career, Ivy founded the St. Lawrence
Chapter of the Euphrates Institute, an international non- profit dedicated to
promoting U.S relations with the developing world. Previously, Ivy worked with
international exchange programs sponsored by the U.S Bureau of Educational and
Cultural Affairs, all of which influenced her interest in international
relations and comparative politics.
academic interests center on post conflict nation building with a focus on
identity politics and political institutions. With her primary regional focus
on the Arab World, Ivy’s other areas of interest include Post-Soviet politics,
China/Hong Kong/Taiwan Relations, and Cyprus.
