Peter Castro, associate professor of anthropology, co-authored a study of ethno-national politics in Ethiopia and in the Ethiopian Diaspora as reflected in their choice and uses of flags. The article, "Flag Politics in Ethiopia and the Ethio-American Diaspora," was published in the Journal of International and Global Studies. The study was also featured in issue 6 of Déjà Lu, an initiative of the World Council of Anthropological Association that aims at pluralizing the dissemination of anthropological knowledge on a global level.
