Sponsored by the Program on Educational Equity and Policy (PEEPs), this lecture series is named in honor of Jerry Miner, Professor Emeritus and PEEPs faculty associate who is widely known for his research in public finance and education finance and one of very few scholars who understands the New York State education aid formulas.
In previous years, the Jerry Miner Lecture has hosted experts in public and education finance. The list includes Susanna Loeb, Eugenia Toma, Susan Dynarski, Scott Iberman and many others. Topics have included teacher quality and retention, school finance
reform, and economic and racial diversity in schools.
