Maxwell alumni and friends are invited to a Maxwell Orange Central program, "Who Keeps Us Safe? National Security in Today’s Landscape," Friday, Oct. 17.

Join Maxwell and our panel of experts for a timely and engaging discussion on national security policy. This interactive session will examine current issues around national security and explore their broader implications for the U.S. and world today. Bring your questions and join the conversation!

Panel participants will include:

  • The Hon. James E. Baker, director of Syracuse University's Institute for Security Policy and Law and professor at the College of Law and Maxwell School; 
  • Chris Mihm, adjunct professor of public administration and international affairs and retired managing director for strategic issues at the U.S. Government Accountability Office;
  • Brynt Parmeter, professor of practice of public administration and international affairs and the Phanstiel Chair in Leadership;
  • Kristen Patel '90 B.A. (PSt), professor of practice of policy studies and the Donald P. and Margaret Curry Gregg Professor of Practice in Korean and East Asian Affairs; and moderator
  • David M. Van Slyke, dean, professor of public administration and international affairs, and Louis A. Bantle Chair in Business-Government Policy.
