Bio

Anna De La Paz is a Ph.D. student in sociology at Syracuse University, where she examines how welfare state policies shape the care work of parenting, with a particular focus on breastfeeding practices in the U.S. and Europe.

A registered dietitian and doula, Anna brings professional experience in pediatric care and in expanding food access through the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.

Her work bridges public health, nutrition and social policy, exploring how these intersect to influence individual choices and behaviors.
