President Joe Biden ordered three objects shot down in the span of three days, just a week after shooting down a Chinese spy balloon off the coast of South Carolina. Officials said that the three objects from this past weekend were smaller and different in nature from the balloon.

Vice Adm. (ret.) Robert Murrett, professor of practice of public administration and international affairs, says that the incident involving the Chinese spy balloon should be considered in its own category when compared to the more recent incidents.

"We know where it came from, we know essentially what its mission was," says Murrett, "the other objects...are emblematic of a problem we've had growing for some years now, all the odds and sods that we have in the atmosphere that we need to have better control over."
