Maxwell MPA alumna Mallie Prytherch named a Schwarzman Scholar

Mallie Prytherch G’19, an alumna of the Maxwell's M.P.A. program, is Syracuse University’s second Schwarzman Scholar. The scholarship program provides scholars the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and professional networks through a one-year master’s degree at Tsinghua University in Beijing.

Senior Kara Foley wins top undergraduate research prize

Kara Foley, a senior majoring in international relations and policy studies, won the Maxwell School’s annual Ben and Marcia Baldanza Prize for top undergraduate research paper, as part of the School’s annual efforts to recognize exemplary undergraduate research.

Maxwell students selected as 2020-21 Remembrance Scholars

The Syracuse University’s Remembrance Scholarship, now in its 31st year, was founded as a tribute to—and means of remembering—the 35 students who were killed in the Dec. 21, 1988, bombing of Pan Am Flight 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland. The scholarships are funded through an endowment supported by gifts from alumni, friends, parents and corporations.

Alumnus’s undergraduate scholarship gift serves as Mother’s Day honor

A bequest arrangement made by Maxwell School alumnus Jonathan R. Hancock ’95 MA (Geog) will honor his mother while providing scholarship assistance to undergraduates in select Maxwell disciplines, who demonstrate an interest in bettering the Syracuse and Central New York region. The bequest commitment, originally formalized on Mother’s Day 2019, is being announced to highlight this year’s occasion of that holiday.
